AB 1450 is a California bill that was introduced in January 2012 to protect unemployed workers and prohibit an employer from discriminating against an applicant because that person is unemployed. The U.S. Congress has also introduced similar legislation. It is unclear if any of these laws will pass and how such a law would be implemented or monitored.
